Kids
respond to terrorists with trees!

Tubah Rural Council - Bamenda Cameroon,
Africa under the umbrella of Trees for Development,
200 Leucaena trees were donated from Chris Wells of Trees
for the Future. Twenty young girls and boys dedicated their
Dream Groves to a Healthy Earth on September 1.

Cub Scouts - La Grande, Oregon with help from The Union
Soil & Water Conservation District and NACD Soil &
Water Stewardship Theme (The Gift of Trees), Cub Scouts planted
9 Sunrise Norweigen Maple trees dedicated to World Peace on
May 11.
A-1 Class Goshen Friends School - West Chester, Pennsylvania
illustrating that no matter how small you are you can
make a difference by planting a tree! They dedicated "Doggie"
the dogwood tree Dream Grove to World Peace on May 6.

Sarajevo, Bosnia youth planted a Dream Grove for world
peace on Oct. 4th during an American Forests Global ReLeaf
event. The city's urban forests were devastated during the
siege on Sarajevo when citizens were forced to use the trees
for cooking and warmth. While 300,000 trees are needed to
restore the green grandeur to the host city for the 1984 Winter
Olympics, the first tree planted in its own reforestation
campaign was dedicated to victims of Sept. 11th in a show
of unity with American youth. Young foresters of Gorani are

Tree New Mexico helped Alvarado
School plant Dream Groves dedicated to a healthy Earth for
campus shade and windbreak

El Segundo Middle School - El Segundo, California
students from the Parent Teacher Student Association
gathered together to plant 6 Fern Pine trees in front of their
school yard dedicated to World Peace on March 29.

Interact Club - Los Angeles, California
continued with the tradition of last year's Interact Club
by planting an additional 3 Jacaranda trees to the already
planted 4 trees dedicated to World Peace on February 22.
